Who Will Support You?
I am Julia Fabich, a psychological counselor with a Master’s degree in Adlerian Counseling.
When I received my own diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis, I lacked the kind of support that I now offer to others.
My work helps you process the diagnosis, regain a sense of direction and agency, and strengthen your self-efficacy.
Many people newly diagnosed with MS experience emotional, psychological and identity-related challenges after diagnosis. You are not alone.
FAQ: Psychotherapy or Psychological Counseling for People Newly Diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis)
An MS diagnosis raises many questions – including which type of support is right for you at this stage. Here you will find answers to the most common questions about psychological counseling, and the difference from psychotherapy.
I support people in coping with the emotional impact of an MS diagnosis.
Difference from Psychotherapy:
Psychological conseling can support people who are coping with emotionally challenging life situations, major transitions, or the psychological impact of a medical diagnosis.
Psychotherapy may be helpful whe clinically significant mental health symptoms or disorders are present.
Psychotherapy is recommended if a mental health condition such as depression, anxiety disorder, or adjustment disorder has been diagnosed.
If your goal is to cope with the diagnosis, strengthen your resources, and create a fulfilling life with MS, counseling with someone experienced in Multiple Sclerosis is the right support for you.
Important Notice:
I do not provide medical diagnoses or give therapy recommendations. My services offer a safe space for emotional support, not medical advice.
I am a counselor according to the Austrian Life and Social Counseling Act (§ 119 GewO) and support people through life crises, change processes, and emotionally challenging situations.
My work does not replace medical or psychotherapeutic treatment. Instead, I provide a safe space for processing emotions, reflection, new beginnings, and strengthening self-efficacy.
